ND-100S and Windows 7 Location/Sensors
« on: August 09, 2010, 05:20:11 pm »

I looked in the forums and did not see this question.  I just installed the ND-100S unit and I have it configured and working.  I can run the MiniCDU app and it shows that the unit is finding several satellites.  The COM port is configured with the correct COM number, 4800 baud rate, and other settings.  I also tested this with Google Earth using EarthBridge and it finds my location perfectly everytime.

The question I have, how do I get the Windows 7>control panel>locations and other sensors to identify the GPS USB dongle as a sensor so I can use with other apps and gadgets?  Am I missing a step(s) or do I need to uninstall and install again?  How does Windows 7 know that this is a GPS sensor and not just another USB device?

As of now, that feature is unavailable with the ND-100S. We may implement this possibly in the future. Thank you for understanding.
