Python script for GB-580P
« on: November 09, 2016, 04:31:56 am »

Hi guys. I've been working on a Python script to interface with the GB580p.   The main objective is to download tracks from the device and optionally upload them to Strava.  Its supports tcx, gpx (and gpx_ext) formats along with a few others (csv, NMEA sentence, fitlog, google maps).  It also supports downloading and uploading waypoints.  The fact that it is written in python means it can run on any host OS that supports python.  I have tested this script on Linux and Windows and it  *should* run on mac os as well.  It is also very fast!

Here's a link to the project on github:

Check it out and let me know what you think.  I would very much appreciate the feedback. The README file in the github repository has a few more details than I've explained here.
