"Lap by Point" and "GPS off Lap"
« on: July 03, 2012, 09:34:47 am »

I've just discovered this AUTOLAP feature through an AndersBrontosaurus's revelation in another Topic (Firmware whishes and requests):
You mean setting it already before starting the run? There is a manual version to do this while running already, which Zingo was involved in, isn't it? Or was this on the 625?

activity>setting>lapsetting =by point.

It seemed right, open another topic for not clog up the topic (Firmware whishes and requests) used for other purposes.

The "point by" 'option I may have figured out how it works ... and in the next session I'll try.
But I did not understand the "GPS OFF LAP" option.
Has anyone tried to use it?

The name is so so, but very useful.

When you are indoor without gps (gps off) and run on a 400m track for instance, every time you create a lap, it adds up 400m to your distance. Right now there is no speed but I think it could be very easy to display last lap speed.

I had propose a line distance calculator tool in TGP to calculate distance on the line you are running on a track field. 400m is only the first one, so what about the others...
