I'm new to GPS and to this forum.
I needed to buy a GPS receiver for agricultural guidance, and the BU-353 was a recommended product, and got good reviews over the internet. I bought one online from a seller here in the UK.
The receiver works very well, but the 1hz update on it is just too slow, you can drive a long way off course in a second! At the time of buying I wasn't aware of refresh rates or what they meant.
Since Ive bought my BU-353, I have found the 5hz version for sale on here. Is there a way that I can configure my 1hz version to a 5hz update rate? They both use the same sirf star IV chip, so surely its only a software difference. Ive searched the internet but cant find much info on changing the update rate on sirf chips. If it is not possible, is there any way I can swap my 1hz version in for a 5hz?
Thanks for your time.
