BC-337 non installation
« on: January 18, 2011, 12:28:31 pm »

 >:(Well I've about reached the end of my patience with this unit. It will not install on our laptop and I have wasted far to many hours trying to get it to work. GPS info does not recognize the unit and there is no device identification. In our old laptop when you plgged the unit in there was a com port installed with a compact flash driver OX16CF950 (com4). Since the support people at USglobal do not seem to have a telephone or don't want to help ( I can't figure out which it is) or perhaps can't I think the thing is headed for the trash bucket and I'll look for something else.

First, I need to know the operating system of your computer. Also, if you have installed the driver for the device. ( Download the driver file and make sure to extract first. Afterwards, install the driver.

Now, bring your computer outside where there is clear access to the sky and there are no tall buildings or trees around that area. Click on the GPSInfo program, select the correct com port, and choose the appropriate baud rate. Press 'Start GPS'. You should see some scrolling data below. Moreover, check if the red light is blinking.

For more info, you can refer to the user guide: (
