Hello everyone,

We do not have an API or SDK for BU-353S4

The BU-353S4 outputs the standard NMEA protocol, that is sent to the computer via a virtual COM port.

Here is a sample of a NMEA library, perhaps this will help: http://sourceforge.net/projects/nmea/ and http://nmea.sourceforge.net/.

Also, here is the NMEA Protocol document: http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/downloads/NMEA_commands.pdf

Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks.

If you are having issues with the BU-353S4 driver like the image below

Or a yellow exclamation mark
Please go to your device manger find your device and right click "update driver software".

then click "search automatically for updated driver software"
If that doesn't clear the yellow exclamation mark.

Then do the steps again but this time when you click  "update driver software"
Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
Then click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"

You should see a list of drivers choose the one that has the latest date.
Also you can download our latest driver here
http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/download/62/windows_pl2303_usb_driver.zip

Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks.

Hello everyone,

When you plug  in the BU-353-S4 it should download the driver and make a comport.
If the driver did not install you can download the driver here
http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/download/62/windows_pl2303_usb_driver.zip

You can check your device manager under ports you should see Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm port (COM#)
Then on your navigation software you can choose the com port your device is on and it should work.

You can also check by using GPSInfo link below
http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/downloads/GPSInfo.zip

Open GPSInfo choose the com port your device is on click Start GPS and you should see data flowing.

Ok, fine but exported format could be adjusted to send modified for google and for exp. strava like garmin.

For me this format in this way is useless, exp. doubled data fields.

My sugestion was if in this XML are fields like GPXTPX extensions, so my idea was only make switch while export to gpx for save data or only in "gpxtpx" or only in "extension".

Second I found, new firmware saving temperature in every step, but in gpx I don't see it.

And finly when using TGP is annoying to clicking by windows which informe device not conneced or no internet connected. Please remove this.
And even without these windows program fires a long time.

Of'coz I could switch to SportTracks3, but I can't there upload track for navi, or I don't have access to device config, I can't import there .act or easly save to .act whitch I using for backup training.

I only asking to fix those to make use easier TGP, thats all.

Hello juliancenkier,

Unfortunately the GPX format in Training Gym Pro is for uploading to Google Earth.

Not to Trainingpeaks nor Strava.
